Mario Sports Superstars is a brand new game which was revealed by Nintendo for the 3DS console last year. The company has now announced that the game will be available on March 24 2017. In addition, Nintendo has also revealed new collectibles called Amiibo Cards. Using the cards in-game will allow players to unlock superstar versions of their characters in the upcoming title.
Mario Sports Superstars Amiibo Cards
The Mario Sports Superstars Amiibo Cards will be the first such collectible trading cards based on a Mario game. Amiibo Cards will feature the franchise’s popular characters such as Mario himself, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi, among others.
Nintendos’ official website shows that the cards will be available in blind packs of 5 Amiibo Cards that will retail at $4.99. The initial copies of Mario Sports Superstars will also come with an Amiibo Card to help players get started their collections.

Nintendo has confirmed that the Mario Sports Superstars game will include one amiibo card packed in for a limited time.
The sports themed game is just one of several games slated for release this year on Nintendo 3DS. The game is already available to order on Amazon if you’re looking forward to its release. However the retailer had currently suspended pre-orders at the time of writing so you may want to keep checking back for when it becomes available again.
